My name is BENLEKHDIM AHMED I am Algerian student in Renewable energy doctoral school.
I am in need to help me in my project which entitled 'Study and Simulation of Electrical Properties of organic photovoltaic cells based on new polymers (π-conjugated)' using Silvaco TCAD,
I am just a beginner in ubuntu OS, so I have '12109-tcad-2010-00-rh64.tar.gz' package ( SILVACO tcad software ) :
I download it from SILVACO web site ' https://dynamic.silvaco.com/dynamicw..=2202&format=3 ' , I am in need to it in my simulation project,
Once i extract it, there are folders:
-examples
-bin
-doc
-etc
-lib
-var
In the bin directory there are no executable files, Silvaco sets up lots of scripts,
Can't find any executable file.. and totally stuck
How I can install it?
I have the FLV file to “sflm” installation from (Install for Linux NV - YouTube) but I can't do it ,
When I use in the Terminal this command:
root@salsabi-desktop:/home/salsabi/Desktop/silvaco/SILVACO# bin/sflm –install as in the FLV file, I have this error message ' bash: bin/sflm: /bin/csh: bad interpreter: NO such file or directory ',
I have another procedure from Chinese web site but I don't understand and I can’t do some lines commands, after translation:
1- Download the installation file: Santa Clara University School of Engineering Student Webpages ~ dlam/applications/silvaco/SCUDC/source/01598-tcad-2006-03-rh32.tar.tar
File Size: 324M.
2- Enter Terminal to find the downloaded archive, tar zxvf 01598-tcad-2006-03-rh32.tar.tar extract.
3- su to the administrator account or any other directory in usr folder created silvaco, for example:
cd / usr
mkdir silvaco
mv-t / usr / silvaco / (to be extracted, such as etc, doc, opt the location of these folders, etc.)
Will have to get just extract the new silvaco directory.
4- set the environment variable,
gedit / etc / csh.cshrc
In the end of the file add:
set path = ($ path: q / usr / silvaco / (here for the installation path) bin)
Save and exit.
5- cd / var / opt / sflm /
mkdir licenses
Use this directory cp copy the license file.
6- terminal input: / usr / silvaco / bin / showid
Appear similar to:
[root @ localhost wingofray] # / usr / silvaco / bin / showid

Use Notepad to write down MachineID that localhost.localdomain-74357869-14c2c4e5
To modify the ID in the license file after this line LM_HOSTIDS ID, save and exit.
7- Open the home directory,
su (to get root privileges)
csh (because the environment variables are configured in csh, so the first from bash to csh)
sfml-start (boot server)
8- Open a new terminal, enter the csh, enter deckbuild, start athena.
I am in need to silvaco Unix version installation tutorial video; please you can do it by “cam studio” software Records screen activity (CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software). It is an ideal tool for creating software demonstrations and active presentations; I am in need to demonstrations and active presentations to all installation steps of silvaco software.
I have the honor to benefit from your experience, and experience of another peoples in my field project, so please Transfer my requests to peoples you think whose can help me
