  I have checked every setting twice and then some.. I have uninstalled and reinstalled java, I have searched for updates, solutions.. This happened about 5 years ago, it was simple to fix, but can't figure this one out.. Would there be anything beside Java that would cause interactive game playing to not load.. The pogo room for Canasta will load, but no tables and no people or chat.. Webkinz attempts to load, but never connects to their server.. SO FRUSTRATED, I have run out of common solutions.. Dell was not able to correct the problem..

  I have tried Internet explorer 7, Mozilla and Opera.. I even tried to uninstall IE7 and put back IE6 but was unable to find all the components of 7 to remove.. so IE6 would not install. I tried to download the previous version of Java.. same result.. System is really bare, new windows. Everything works correctly except of course interactive screens that load to the internet.. like Pogo and Webkinz..

  IE is a core part of Windows and can not be uninstalled. (just so you know). I had the same issue with IE and did a re-install of just Java runtime http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and that corrected the problem. You could also try an older version of the JRE at http://java.sun.com/products/archive/ I would try version 6.0 of the JRE. I suspect you may end up with having to do a re-install of windows and then a JRE install to get it working again.

  One other thought, if you have a firewall or netnanny or some other monitoring software you may have to whitelist www.pogo.com

  Whitelist pogo?.. Do you mean add them to my internet options to be allwed in.. if so I have.. But if Pogo as well as webkinz not loading.. doesn't that tell me that it is the system, not the firewalls or the servers themselves.. Daringly, I closed all firewalls and antivirus and tried to connect to both servers, and neither worked.. Your advice is much appreciated.. Thanks big bear..

  Well at this point I suspect there is a bad dll somewhere and that you will need to re-install windows and then the Java Runtime Enviroment (JRE) not the JDK. Good Luck with it.

  Thank you much for twisting your brain with me.. I tried what you mentioned, except for reinstallling windows.. and still no luck.. I had a friend enter my system through remmote service.. he found that my router box was slowley and continually blocking ports.. Lesson learned.. When your told to unplug everything from your system prior to reinstalling windows.. don't forget to unplug the router from your tower.. I contacted my dsl provider, and they resent the signal, and immediately corrected the problem..
