pretty video.
too bad the game requires a super computer and W.O.W.-like play time to get around the track without throwing the controller.

That's true, but that's what realism offers. I'm sure you had a few bumps and bruises when you first learned how to ride a bike .

One of the great things about the game is that it is so rewarding once you finally get the hang of it.. and that keeps you hooked.

Makes that other game look ridiculously amateurish.
make it for xbox, and make it playable.
Looks much better than alive. ( Not an alive hater, just not a fan of snow tracks, and paying for bikes.)
Cool video. I tried to get into this game. Downloaded the demo than bought the game. I stopped playing it because my game didn't look anything like these videos. it looked horrible. bikes and everything. I guess you can download a ton of stuff to make it look like that video, but knowing what to download and how to install it requires a ton of time sifting through their forum and countless threads. If all I had to do was download the game, plug in a controller and go, I'd give the game another try.
Even funnier since that layout is jacked from Alive. Funny my number is on the bike too.

Really?..please break it down for us how that footage of the Stewart compound (the terrain/track specifically) is better in any way, shape, or form than in Alive.
I agree that 0 deformation and that pixelated bullshit they consider roost looks freakin spectacular. lmao

If you seriously don't think it looks better than Alive, you are blind.
Anyone remember all those videos of them making Alive? You had some chick with a camera taking pics of the dirt at James' house so they could get that part of the game right. Lot of good that did, do we care if the terrain is the exact color that's at sevens house, if the games blows?
If only those who knew less didn't always think they knew better.
its a PC game you tards. of course its gonna look good. too bad it plays like shit and bikes sound like shit. ever see what it looks like when you crash? lmfao.
i bought mx sim a couple months before alive came out. havent even thought about playing it since alives been out.
good editing can make anything look good.

WOW, sooooo amazing! LMAO.

What's even more funny is that you are chiming in here trying to flex your e-muscles.
Here's the facts: Motoboss started creating the track on march 30th, 2 months before alive was released. He used google earth satellite views to make the track as accurate as possible. Here's a preview from April 1st of his 1 day progress..
189 is DJD's race number (the rider in the video).

that video you just posted is ridiculously stupid, i take back what i said and agree that it was just the editing that made the other vid look better

So why did he pick 149 in the video?
He may have started it but is amusing that the sections were updated to reflect changes james made here in the studio that don't exist on his real track. Even down to objects. I can pick out at least a dozen things we did with James that are ripped off in that video.

Don't get into a pissing contest.Go fix your game..

Just check out any of these pics of mxs, they may have some blur added or contrast changed but that's not gonna make a shitty game look like gold.. The game really does look good if you have a pc that can handle it. Who want to just hold it wide open around a track anyways? doesn't sound to rewarding to me..

umadbro? Seems like you're butthurt because someone was able to make something better than an entire team could..Not really saying much since the last good MX game before MX Sim was Motocross Madness 2.
AND 'what's even funnier' is how he 'ripped' skins from Alive, considering it's not even made for PC.
Finally, yeah, MXS is a lot harder than Alive. It's a SIMULATION, not arcade (aka MvA series) game. If you want something that's as close to real riding, something RBW_Triton apparently can't do, then MXS is what you want. Because, you know, you can bounce from 30+ feet in the air and still land in real life!

I said nothing about ripping skins only the number which I thought was funny. You can't make something better if it's a complete ripoff. From the video you can't even do some of his lines. That happens when you don't know what it is that you are copying. At least have the respect to call it the Alive Compound Replica or something.

I'm digging alive now. I do wish you guys could do something about the throttle.. When you are in the air and get on the gas it only stays on the rev limmiter for a couple seconds then it goes dead. It's like sometimes the throttle works and sometimes it doesn't. Has anyone else noticed that? Really hoping for some challenging SX tracks soon.
I play MX Sim a hell of a lot more than Alive now. I would rather have realistic physics and unlimited customizing of bikes and gear (ALL FOR FREE) over great graphics and ehh physics. If MX vs ATV and MX Sim teamed up and had a baby.. pure gold!
My favorite vids from MX Sim:
dirtcyclewill wrote:

DJD, the rider in the Stewart Compound vid, runs #149 all of the time. Check the 2nd vid I posted. That was from many months ago and he's running 149. Just a coincidence.
Ive never played MXSim but Ive seen a lot of vids, Ive seen some great vids from an old friend motoxjeff. Anyway, they both have advantages and disadvantages. MXSim is a 'Sim' you do have to slow down, it is a lot harder game, etc. The graphics CAN look amazing, its nice to have FREE DLC for the game. But, sounds suck, wrecks are terrible and some people dont race 'realistically' and do things you cant in real life (sections, jumps, etc)
Alive is alright, not the best game Ive played but I knew it wasnt going to be the first time I saw vids of it. Alive has deformation and I will give THQ credit they got that a lot better than Reflex. Graphics look good, not great (could be better I think), tracks are limited and use the same world/environment over and over. Have to pay TOO MUCH for DLC, look I can see getting people to buy DLC but lower the prices.
Overall, I give Alive the win between the two, even though my review wasnt that good if you stand back and really look at it Alive is better. Not everyone wants a sim, thats why MXSim has a tiny community and Alives is well small but a lot bigger than Sim. Alive has more fun factor, dont have to put in as much time to be really good, and you dont get taken out if someone runs into you, or not as bad as in SIM.
